It is our pleasure to announce that the 21st annual Submarine Supplier Days will take place on Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

Our campaign is particularly important this year with an increased focus on budget issues in Congress. It is crucial that we continue to build support for the Virginia-Class program and the Ohio-Replacement program. Submarine suppliers play an essential role in educating our elected representatives about the important national security benefits of these programs, the positive economic benefits to our communities, and the submarine industrial base’s strong track record of efficiency and cost-containment.

Supplier Days will start on Tuesday, March 6 with afternoon briefings followed by a reception and dinner held at the Grand Hyatt, Washington D.C. Registration will begin in the early afternoon. A congressional breakfast will be held on Wednesday, March 7 on Capitol Hill before meetings with elected officials

Supplier Days is a great opportunity for you to personally convey the important messages of the submarine industrial base to your members of Congress and to meet with Electric Boat and Newport News Shipbuilding management, US Navy officials, the Submarine Industrial Base Council leadership and fellow suppliers.
