Supplier Days 2011

The 20th annual Submarine Supplier Days took place on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in Washington, D.C.

The two-day event was particularly important this year with the urgent need to pass the FY11 budget and increased focus on budget issues.

It is crucial that we continue to build support for the Virginia-Class program and the Ohio-Replacement Program. Submarine suppliers play an essential role in educating our elected representatives about the important national security benefits of these programs, the positive economic benefits to our communities, and the submarine industrial base’s strong track record
of efficiency and cost-containment.

The event started on Tuesday, March 8 with afternoon briefings followed by a reception and dinner held at the Capital Hilton Hotel, Washington D.C. A congressional breakfast was held on Wednesday, March 9 on Capitol Hill with numerous members of Congress and their staff in attendance. Immediately following, submarine suppliers left for scheduled meetings with their elected officials.

Information on Supplier Days 2012 will be posted as soon as it is available.
